Pelvic Floor Health for Yogis

Did you know that the “core” is actually made up of abdominal muscles, muscles around the spine and surprisingly, the pelvic floor?

Get to know the pelvic floor and how it functions as the foundation of core stability. Learn how to perform pelvic floor contractions (AKA kegels) the proper way, as well as techniques to relax the pelvic floor. We’ll learn a little bit about just how many muscles outside of the body attach to and can impact the pelvic floor. We’ll also discuss bladder, bowel and sexual health as it relates to the way the pelvic floor is functioning. And, we’ll integrate these learnings into a fun yoga practice.
